Your Favorite Wine Gadget?
There are a lot of junky wine gadgets and gizmos out there ... do we really need his-and-her handtowels embroidered with chardonnay and cabernet? However, some wine accessories are actually useful. Apart from corkscrews, glasses and decanters (let's deal with them later this week), my favorite accessory so far has been the wine glass drying rack that my mother gave me for Christmas one year. It's so practical:
you don't need to use a towel to dry the glass (and therefore impart a detergent smell to the glass) and there are no unsightly water stains as the glasses are left to air dry upside down.
