Favorite Food & Wine Newsletters?

If one of your New Year's resolutions is to learn more about food and wine in 2008, there's never been a better time to do it. The Internet is a well-spring of information, with thousands of web sites, podcasts, videocasts and blogs, like this one. Sometimes though, surfing from site to site can be overwhelming and it's hard to filter the noise from the music.

One of the best ways to be selective about your wine and food info intake is to subscribe to reputable newsletters. You probably already know about the the excellent ones that Epicurious publishes (and I also offer a free one focused on wine from my site), but I thought I'd highlight some of my favorites for you. I'd love for you to add to this list ... perhaps we can develop a more comprehensive reference list together.

Local Wine Events: A weekly customized listing of wine events happening in your city.

Dianne Jacob: If you're an aspiring food writer, this bi-monthly e-mail will give you lots of great tips. Dianne, who wrote the excellent book, Will Write for Food, also offers writing workshops.

Good Food: Evan Kleiman hosts this excellent NPR show in Los Angeles on KCRW. She interviews experts and authors from the food and wine world, and often includes their tips and links in her weekly newsletter.

Leite's Culinaria: Award-winning writer David Leite and his contributors offer terrific advice on cooking, books and culinary history.

The Cork Jester: Jennifer Rosen's wacky good humor and active mind will keep you laughing when you read her bi-weekly wine newsletter.

Which newsletters would you add to this list?
