Baja California's Wine Country is a Place Worth Visiting!
By Jane M - Ezinearticles

The wine country is only 65 miles away from San Diego and it's really close to Ensenada. Driving through it has become one of the most delightful activities for United States visitors in Baja. It might sound odd if somebody recommends to you to visit Mexico for its wine, but I have to say that Baja California wines are well known for their good quality and flavor complexity.

The place offers a wide array of attractions, from small family owned wineries to large-scale wine companies, delicious restaurants, arts centers, museums and many activities throughout the year like "Las Fiestas de la Vendimia" in August. There are three major areas within Baja California's wine country, all of them are located 120 miles along the coast. San Antonio de las Minas with its Guadalupe and Calafia Valleys, Santo Tomas Valley and San Vicente Valley altogether grow nearly 90% of all Mexican grapes.

Connousiurs from California and around the world, visit this region. Many varieties of red and white wine are produced in Baja like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Mission, Palomino, Suavignon Blanc, Malaga and Saint Emilion. It's very easy to find campgrounds around the wine country for your RV. There are also many a nice hotels to stay in Ensenada, and you can also visit intriguing places like La Bufadora, or you can take a day trip to the beach.
